Dragon Naturally Speaking 5 - Software by ScanSoft

Well I finally tried another voice recognition software program. I waited 

several years since my last attempt. Earlier verisons were not very good, 

but this program by  ScanSoft inc. works fairly well. I can see it will take

a little practice, to learn how to dictate in my natural voice and not at the

slow and robot like voice that was required by older voice programs

(hard to break old habits).

The program has voice commands to correct mistakes and seems to work well.

I dictated this sentence using the software.

Not bad for $19.95.  And this document was produced using vi editor from 

within a telnet session  - all I did was to turn on the microphone from 

a task bar at the top of my Windows desktop to dictate the sentence.
